Worley To Engineer Cerilon North Dakota Gas-To-Liquids Facility

Worley

Cerilon is pleased to announce the selection of Worley to provide engineering services for the development of a 24,000 barrel per day gas to liquids (GTL) facility in Williams County North Dakota. Cerilon’s GTL facility will convert abundant natural gas into hydrogen and then into high-performance, low-carbon emission synthetic energy products that include ultra-low sulphur diesel and lubricant base oils.  Worley was selected for their GTL experience, capacity to provide full engineering, procurement and construction services and for their global reach.

Cerilon’s corporate strategy starts with one GTL facility followed by replicated GTL phases and integration with both upstream and downstream components of the value chain.  Cerilon has chosen North Dakota as its first location with a plan for two phases on the same site to obtain infrastructure benefits.  The Cerilon GTL North Dakota facility will include onsite carbon capture and sequestration and will also create opportunities for other downstream facilities to create additional high-value products.

“Future energy demand, the need for energy security, and increasing environmental performance expectations create a strong market for transitional energy sources. We are pleased to have such an experienced engineering partner on this journey with us,” stated Nico Duursema, Cerilon CEO on the selection of Worley for this project.

Cerilon is an international, privately-held corporation, based in Calgary, Alberta, focused on developing and managing a portfolio of transitional energy, chemical and professional services companies that deliver world-class organizational performance and outstanding investment return.
